- Bxstereomaker will be available individually or as a part of the Pro version of bxrockrack! And it will be out later this month but no price has been announced yet. This is a very interesting idea because just in MS micing, to create mono, just drop the S channel and you are left with mono.
- Depending on the frequency range of the mono source material bxstereomaker may create a stereo-image that is perceived as leaning slightly towards the left or right channel. Tilting or Panning allows you to adjust the stereo image to your liking.
Aug 15, 2012 The bxstereomaker is designed to make stereo signals out of mono ones. According to the boffins at Brainworx it creates a virtual stereo signal by using analogue-style filters. This then enables you to solo this virtual stereo signal and tweak it.

I'm writing this review to answer the question: Why should I spend $99 on this when I can get Wider for free? Wider pings the panning position of the signal with each note very obnoxiously. While I still visually notice just a bit of gradual sway between left and right peak levels when I push the widening knob far, it's not jarring at all to the ear. You get a little bit of analogue style coloration when you apply this plugin but in all cases so far, it only improves the tonality. If you have orchestral libraries, this plugin is a must because the vast majority of them have phasing and mono-compatibility issues. Narrow the stereo field as much as necessary with free Ozone Imager, then widen it back up with impunity with this plugin. Until VST library makers make proper mic positioning a priority, this will be your go-to plug in.Thanks a lot and enjoy your new tool!bx_stereomaker
There are many good mono to Stereo Plugins out there, but nothing feels like bx_stereomaker, because you can really make a mono source come to populate the stereofield in a unique & lively way, and stay in phase! Use it a ton!Depth and dimension
VERY interesting tool for almost any meldodic element like guitar, synth, even vocals, if you use it wisely and not overdo it. I am just a recording hobby musician, no pro, but, man, this thing is powerful and adds dimension and depth, a very special thickness, something I cannot think of how to achieve another way. Excellent for synths and sample based instruments which are sometimes difficult to place in a mix. Very easy to use and very easy to hear the magic it does!Use it carefully!

Trying to get a little more depth into recordings of a newsreader, this plugin saved the day. It made everything fit perfectly together after 20 seconds of adjusting. You only know that you needed it, when you try it.
